Since time immemorial, narcissists have been called narcissists. And, of course, the legend is “to blame” for this. But among the ancient Greeks, the daffodil was considered a symbol of death; among the Romans, the victors returning from the war were greeted with a wreath of daffodils.
The Chinese cannot do without this flower when they celebrate the New Year. And while Europeans admire a decorated Christmas tree on New Year’s Day, the Chinese, first of all, decorate their home with daffodils. A whole society of daffodil lovers has been founded in England. And if one of the members of the society manages to breed an interesting variety of flower, this is considered a great event. The bulbs of such a plant are expensive.
In Switzerland, an annual festival is held in honor of the narcissus with a performance where the ancient Greek legend is played out. On holidays, everyone has bouquets of daffodils.
This flower has taken root well in Russia. In many of our gardens, the first spring flowers are daffodils. It is known that the writer Ivan Turgenev, who loved nature, preferred narcissus to all flowers, which he wrote down in his home album.
Some peoples use narcissus as a medicinal plant. Its leaves heal wounds. And the narcissus bulb is placed in children's pockets - as a talisman against various childhood diseases.
3) To make a children's craft from paper "Narcissus" you need:(Slide 4)
- colored double-sided paper, although you can also use regular single-sided colored paper;
- scissors;
- glue;
- a piece of wire;
- simple pencil.
3) Practical work.
Take 2 squares of white paper with a side of 5 cm and make cuts on the sides 2 cm deep.(Slide 5)
Take a thin pencil or brush and tightly curl the opposite petals. Wind the second pair of petals in the same way.(Slide 6)
Make two such blanks and glue them in the middle, unfolding the petals in a checkerboard pattern.(Slide7)
Cut out a circle with a diameter of 5 cm from yellow corrugated paper and crimp it around a pencil. Glue it in the center of the flower.(Slide 8)
Wrap a wire about 20 cm long with a strip of green paper. Stepping back 5 cm from the edge, make a thickening.(Slide 9)
From a strip of 1.5x6 cm, cut out a leaf and glue it slightly below the thickening. ( Slide 10)
Make a hole with an awl in the middle of the flower. Insert the wire and bend the small tip. Bend the stem.(Slide11)
